EXECUTIVE LEVEL POSITION:
Excellent opportunity for a stellar candidate that comes from the flooring / carpet (or) related industry. Client is seeking a very polished and professional candidate that is looking for a career with a stable and growing flooring company. This company distributes and installs flooring for single family homes and apartment complexes (residential / commercial).

Vice President, Sales
$100K Base, plus commission (approx. $52K in comm.)
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the position involves outside sales and assists a team of junior sales professionals with a focus on managing the company's various existing and new business customers in the area of apartment property management flooring replacement and apartment rehab. The Vice President, Sales will also have the responsibilities included below.

The Vice President, Sales will work closely with the entire operations team and partner with leaders in the Company's Installation, Call Center, Finance, Human Resources and Executive Office areas to further manage, identify, select, maintain and satisfy new and existing customer opportunities in the company's normal course of business. Position will integrate closely with other department's within the company and serve and direct as a sales point in the field in the Southern California region.
Responsibilities Include:
-Calling on existing and new customers.
-Running down prospects and leads.
-Winning back inactive customers.
-Demonstrating and specifying new flooring options and materials for customers.
-Report to Main Office all property management customer feedback.
-Establish best practices and processes for a small but vibrant sales department.
-Report regularly upon sales progress and new customer acquisitions to Main Office.
-Coordinate new product inventory needs with sales support (administration).
-Periodically review junior sales person performance.
-Coordinate and supervise marketing and sales plan as well as targets.
-Closely work with various Installers at each facility to meet customer needs.
-Maintain face to face presence for Company with customers in the field.
-Maintain and enhance property manager and property owner relationships.

Background:
-Strong understanding of sales, marketing and flooring product, including but not limited to carpeting, vinyl, hard surface (various), wood and tile a plus.
-Strong interpersonal and self managing skills.
-Strong understanding of and experience in the floor covering installation and distribution business.df-tc
