Level 2 Japanese Technical Support =E2=80=93
Support technician responsible for installation and troubleshooting primarily desktops, laptops and printers;
support and troubleshooting of audio/video conferences; occasional translation of information from English to Japanese (or vice versa) at Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America (Erlanger Campus).
> Responsible for installation and on-going support for Windows 2000 and Windows XP desktops, laptops, printers and plotters.

> Certifications for Toshiba laptop and Dell desktops are REQUIRED prior to start of position.

> Fluency in English and Japanese is REQUIRED.

> Responsible for maintaining standard English and Japanese images provided by the TEMA IS Desktop Group on user laptops, desktops and peripheral devices which may include PDAs, Blackberry and other handheld devices.

> Responsible for receiving and tracking hardware, hardware disposal and software license tracking.

> Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word) and Windows 2000 Professional.


> Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, DHCP and Microsoft SMS.


> Basic understanding of Windows 2000 Active Directory and Microsofts Application Compatibility Toolkit.


> Requires frequent interface with the user community.
Strong communication and troubleshooting capabilities are required.


> Responsible for setup and support of multipoint videoconferences on campus =E2=80=93 attention to details and follow-up skills are required.

> Experience using the remote control features of Microsofts SMS a plus.

> Familiarity with Lotus Notes a plus.


> MCSE and other certifications a plus.

> Occasional translation of documentation between English and Japanesedf-tc
