Description
Our client, a leading IT Security products and solutions vendor, is seeking an Regional Sales Manager to handle the Southern California territory.


*Prospect new customers, provide timely and effective customer service,
develop an account plan, prepare presentations/business case solutions and
implement short and long-range account
*Responsible for continuing growth of established accounts.
*Accountable for making and exceeding the target revenue goals
*Work closely with all levels of customers to understand their business
goals and objectives and solve problems using products and services
*Manage the sales cycle and forecast to prioritize and engage resources
productively and to communicate effectively to management.
Develops and coordinates business relationships with assigned territory. Manages sales cycle for new prospects, including identifying opportunities, qualifying prospects, coordinating activities, such as site surveys, presentations, demonstrations, and review of prospect requirements. Respond to RFP?s, negotiate and marshal the firm?s resources to justify the investment in their products and services. Makes decisions regarding same (sometimes in conjunction with VP, Sales, when appropriate).

Addresses related business issues, and resolves or escalates as necessary. Provides feedback to management on customer plans and requirements, market trends, products, services, competitive situations and comparisons.

Manages existing customer accounts to ensure excellent customer satisfaction and relationships. Addresses product support issues and escalates to support personnel as necessary. Monitors and makes decisions to ensure customer expectations have been met.

Attends industry trade shows and forums and remains current with all industry trends and technological developments including programming languages, new operating systems, hardware, databases, etc., used by our client?s products. Participates in product training and industry education. Coordinates and/or assists with various marketing promotional activities.

Educational/Technical Requirements/Experience
*Ability to present at the highest management levels
*Ability to handle complex negotiations
*Ability to develop integrated solutions to customer requirements
*Extensive knowledge of competitive issues within accounts
*Develop strong relations with customers at decision-making levels
*Ability to define and execute sales strategies for governments clients
*Generate and execute an annual business plan for developing and closing
on the most lucrative sales opportunities.
*Ability to solve complex problems meeting stringent deadlines.
*Identify data for and assist with preparation of proposals including
scheduling resources and managing tasks, preparing service orders and
coordinating client activities.
*Possess a "hunter" mentality, with a track record of proactively
approaching and "opening" new accounts *Strong technical background with a
Security Software Vendor and a strong business sense
_ B.A. or B.S. Degree preferred
_ Five or more years of successful direct sales, acct.
_ Understanding of development toolkit market
_ Experience in Sales of IT Security products, solutions and services, including Firewalls, VPN, IDS. IPS, AV, Managed Services
Ability to manage long, complex sales cycles
_ Strong knowledge of all basic IT security products, both standard and add-ons
_ Excellent PC skillsdf-tc
