GTA has a challenging and exciting opportunity for an Account Manager in our Solutions Marketing Office.

This position offers you an opportunity to take a leadership role in delivering and positioning technology-driven products and services to State of Georgia agencies.

As an Account Manager, you will be working with an exceptional team of qualified, competent professionals. You will work hand-in-hand with other state agencies to develop and implement technology solutions for their business needs.


Major responsibilities:
Serving as a liaison between customer agencies and GTA to provide technical solutions to meet user needs.
Developing and maintaining awareness of GTAs product offerings and how they can meet customer needs
Sales of GTAs products and services to state agencies
Planning with customers to improve business processes, services and infrastructure.
Participating in the development and review of planning documents, proposals, requests for proposals, and service agreements.
Staying abreast of legislation, regulations, changes in technology, and other issues affecting customers.
Communicating GTA goals and objectives to customers and soliciting feedback.
Building and managing a collaborative relationship with agency customers, which includes customer support and education.
Serving as an advocate for the customer within GTA and serving as an advocate for GTA with the customer in order to help senior agency and GTA management understand each others needs.
Leading virtual teams within GTA to address customer issues.
Providing high-quality service to customers

Preferred Qualifications:

Business to business sales experience
Experience selling/marketing IT products
Masters degree in business administration, public administration, IT, management information systems, computer science or a related field from an accredited college or university
Experience in facilitation
Experience with handling public sector accounts or clients
Eight years of experience in customer account management or sales leadership in an IT field, five years of which must have included supervision or virtual team leadership.

Experience/Skills
Three years of experience managing customer account relationships and technical sales. Must include working as an IT services consultant applying technologies to customer business problems.
Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college or university in business administration, public administration, information technology, management information systems, computer science or a related field

OR

Equivalent work experience in customer account management, IT project or program management, or program-specific technical consultation and problem resolution for customers as the primary focus of the job.
One year of management or team leadership experience

Other desired skills:
