CDI Aerospace is currenlty looking for an Analog Design Engineer


Description:

Research, development, design, and testing of electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks.

Design of electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, military, and domestic purposes.

The activities involved in electrical design require an individual to have a strong analytical background in electronics and mathematics with emphasis on microprocessor based studies.

This would include background courses in electronic theory, digital logic, machine language programming, integrated circuits, circuit and network analysis and feedback control systems.

The Electrical Design Engineer would work from an exact set of specifications to design the circuits required in fulfillment of the system engineers block diagram.

These specifications would include input signals available, output signals required, circuit and convergence timing and power availability.

The engineer would work with modern microprocessors and would coordinate efforts with the software designer.

Provides strategic direction for systems, projects and programs in area of expertise.

Contributes to the company and the industry by advancing the level of knowledge within that discipline.

Provides cross-functional guidance and expertise.

Responsible for the electronic circuit design and development support of electronic products for real time control systems.

Strong analog hardware design and analysis skills essential, with digital experience a plus.

Responsible for circuit design implementation of aerospace control system features, such as built in test and diagnostics, to meet performance requirements as well as design to cost and producibility requirements.

Required skills include analog input amplification, signal conditioning, controlled current output and output buffering, power supply and high power (28VDC) switch output.

Knowledge of Cadence HDL design tools and PSpice is desirable.

Candidate must be experienced in circuit board layout techniques and have a basic understanding of designing for electromagnetic compatibility.

Successful candidate will be able to discuss design experience in detail including selection of components, design of system architecture, challenges encountered and solutions implemented.


Education and Experience:

BSEE plus 10 + years of experience in the design and development of real time electronic control systems.

Ability to work in a team based environment mandatory.
Strong team building skills required.
Good written, communication and presentation skills required. Experience with qualification of electronic controllers a plus.

Experience with electronic control systems for gas turbine engines a plus.
