Description
A world renowned game developer in the South East is looking to bolster it's technical team with the inclusion of a Senior technical programmer who is a specialist in character animation and movement to work on a brand new exciting IP.

This studio has built an earned reputation for being one of the most advanced in it's field in terms of innovative game design and bleeding edge technology. They are always looking to push the boundaries of game development in any way they can, and as such they are looking for equally ambitious individuals who want to work on ground breaking products that leave a mark on the games industry.

You will be working together with the Gameplay lead in order to provide cutting edge animation solutions and code in order to provide character animations that capture the emotion and story that this ambitious title is aiming for. Ideally you will have a great interest and grasp on animation itself, and what makes for believable emotion and performance.

Qualifications

- Experience with animation systems:

· Skeletal character animation

· N-way blends

· Key frame animation

· Motion trees

· Segmented and skinned surfaces

· Animation exporters (XSI preferred).



- Expertise in C++.

- Strong 3D math background.

- Professional games development experience, ideally with a concentration on animation programming

- Strong communication skills, work ethic and motivation.

- Good eye for animation aesthetics and good eye for believable human motions.



Preferred Experience

- Havok Animation system

- Havok Behaviours system

- Experience in using IK systems for foot planting/hand balancing

- Preferred experience in working with articulated bodies and/or physical animation

- Working with procedural animations systems covering

· Eye darts

· Primary object focus

· Camera awareness

· Emotional state overlay

· Locomotion trees/systems
