ITC is is currently representing a high profile company busting at the seems! We are seeking an Apple/Windows System Engineer.


JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Sr. Systems Engineer will design, implement, administer, troubleshoot and develop network server and email resources to meet company and departmental goals and standards for availability, capacity and security. The primary responsibility for this role will be to maximize uptime of Microsoft & Apple server systems and their interfaces to the user community, provide for ongoing maintenance and provide tier-two support to help resolve client issues. The Sr. Systems Engineer will work closely on related projects, and infrastructure changes. The Sr. Systems Engineer will manage short and long term projects related to Microsoft/Apple server systems, and assist with LAN/WAN related projects or issues.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Maintain and support Microsoft Windows servers in a 2003 Active Directory domain
Maintain and support Apple Server Systems and infrastructure
Monitor servers and related services and technologies
Maintain and support Lotus Notes/Domino servers and other Lotus Notes and email technologies
Monitor the Lotus Domino servers and related Domino and email technologies
Perform daily Lotus Domino administration tasks
Perform daily Windows/Apple server and Active Directory administration tasks
Maintain accurate and current documentation of all procedures performed
Create, modify and remove user accounts, as well as regularly recertify active user accounts
Manage and maintain Anti-Virus and Anti-Spam solutions for enterprise management
Maintain security levels of all Microsoft and Apple servers
Test, evaluate and implement software patches, updates and upgrades
Perform regular server monitoring and reporting
Review activity logs for anomalous activity
Manage tape backup solution for Windows and Apple server systems
Verify regular backup and restores
Provide level two support for the Support Services and Network Services Groups in order to resolve client issues in a timely manner
Maintain firm mail lists and groups
Maintain security levels of the Domino databases
Perform Microsoft Server, Apple Server and Domino/Notes software testing, as needed
Create reports as needed
Other duties as assigned
Assist in managing and maintaining Avaya Enterprise Phone system
Assist in managing and maintaining LAN/WAN infrastructure
Assist in managing and maintaining Store WAN connectivity and technology upgrades
Manage and maintain Citrix environment
Manage and maintain VMWare environment
Assist in implementing and maintaining test/dev server environment

Experience/Skills
EDUCATIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 2000 and 2003 server software in an Active Directory environment, and Lotus Domino administration, with two to four years of practical Microsoft and Domino server experience
In-depth knowledge of Apple Server & Mac OS
Strong troubleshooting, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Appropriate temperament and knowledge to assist with on-call user support
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) 2000/2003 certification
Certified Lotus Professional (CLP) certification status
Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA
