Job Title: Application Packaging/Client Side Engineering

Description: This position is responsible for packaging, deployment and tier two support of all applications.

Responsibilities include:

- Test package functionality on XP build to ensure compliance with standards and functionality of application.

- Test applications for compatibility with all applications.

- Configure, deploy and support all applications.

- Work with business users to test applications.

- Work with desktop technicians, packaging manager and business users to resolve issues with packaged applications.

- Identify issues and implement corrective actions as necessary

Additional responsibilities include:

- Testing Microsoft security patches against desktop / laptop builds

- Work with vendor technical support

- Work with vendor sales on pricing, obtaining quotes and procuring licenses

- Perform other duties as needed

- Some off hour support is required

Qualifications:

- Candidate must have minimum of three years application packaging/deployment experience.

- Must have excellent communication skills to work closely with user community.

- Must have excellent writing skills to work author validation documentation.

- Must have two-three years experience with Java based applications.

Pluses:

- Experience with Oracle client

- Experience with Pharmaceutical applications.
