Description
Seeking highly professional IT Support Specialist who is well versed in inventory management, asset tracking, and process documentation. This IT professional will be responsible for assisting in the receiving and tracking of assets purchased by the Shared IT, Business Development. Support coordinator will also assist in documenting business processes around the distribution and allocation of existing assets, assist in the further implementation of an asset management system, and then assist in implementing the controls and procedures necessary for tracking those assets back to the appropriate project budgets. This includes assisting in the management of the documentation surrounding these assets. Preference for candidates having experience with commercially available asset tracking software, particularly with HP/Peregrine Asset Mgr. Broad experience/familiarity with hardware, software, and IT services concepts will contribute greatly to success in this position. Must be a self-starter, motivated to continually suggest improvements to process, but also highly disciplined in following processes those same processes. Ability to maintain composure in a rapidly changing environment important, sometimes working independently and at other times heavily matrixed to managers in the operations and new development groups.
