Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Once initial product specs have been defined by the Product Manager, manage day-to-day communications with overseas vendors necessary to bring product to market. This includes assisting PM with Vertabase scheduling and follow-through.
2. Manage item master/set-up for all new product lines and maintain product details
3. ensures that packaging is weights & measurement compliment based on knowledge of latest governmental standards including Coordinating and proofing all packaging for new product lines.
4. Leads the team in preparation for all new product launches.
5. Assures all foreign imports meet quality standards of if not, negotiate with for substitutions and resolution.
6. Alerts Product Manager of any issues and recommends how to resolve in a timely fashion.
7. Assists Purchasing with vendor/product issues as they arise on initial shipments of new products. Provides counsel on existing product issues to achieve resolution.
8. Analyzes sales data and makes recommendations on assigned account(s) product mix.
9. Provides recommendations to Product Manager based on analyzing sales data on assigned accounts..
10. Maintains library of all account presentations and final POGs for ongoing account support and product development.
11. Attends customer meetings when appropriate (at Trade Shows, in Van Nuys office, etc).
12. Conduct trend, retailer and competitive research for biannual bead summit.
13. Makes regular retailer visits (at least once per month) to all major accounts.
14. Maintains account calendar. This includes resets and promotion proposal cycles as well as key ship dates for all confirmed orders in concert with Sales Coordinator and SCM.
15. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This is an extremely detail-oriented position, which touches many different departments within the company. Must have impeccable follow through and thrive in a time sensitive, deadline-driven environment.

Education and/or Experience: 4 year degree with a BA or BS in marketing or related specialty preferred or equivalent experience. Basic knowledge of beading, materials and packaging a plus.

Computer Skills:
Proficient in MS Office Suite (particularly Excel & PowerPoint). Familiarity with digital photography and basic photo editing.
