Job Summary

Team lead responsible for managing enhancements, and continuous improvement of the SAP Procurement, SRM application areas. Serves as a liaison with key business stakeholder and other SAP functional owners to provide functional guidance and support for changing business conditions and new projects/implementations. Develops overall project plan; may provide input to long-term IT strategy necessary to achieve organizational objectives. Manages a team of individuals to provide solutions to complex business issues utilizing SAP SRM 5.0, ECC5.0 applications and configuration, SRM Supplier Self-Service, Live Auction Cockpit, BW, CCM.

Job Responsibilities

Lead the SAP CoE procurement continuous improvement team that includes approximately 1-3 FTE’s. Manage additional consultant/contractor as necessary and interact with an evolving offshore support organization. Frequently interacts with the Global Design IS and Business owners, Deployment leads for acceptance that the change requests demonstrate conformance to the Global Model.

Serve as a functional and technical product expert for SAP procurement application in support of Wyeth’s suit of SAP systems and products. Stay abreast of current technology trends and work with the business to incorporate new solutions into Wyeth’s global SAP model as appropriate.

Proactively identify and develop innovative solutions to meet evolving business requirements and strategies. Having oversight for the cross application components to assess areas impacted by any requested changes for Procurement (R/3 and SRM), Finance and receiving. Represents organization on technical matters; frequent inter-organizational and external contacts.

Manage ongoing transformation activities with the Procurement business to facilitate business processing in a BPO environment..

Basic Qualifications

BS/MS + 12 yrs. or Equiv. Exp.

PhD + 6-7 yrs.

6-7 years of management experience or experience managing large or complex teams in a matrix environment. Direct accountability for budgets and deadlines of unit.

SAP Application training, Project Management certification, Compliance, Validation, cGMP, and GxPharma procedures and Peregrine Service Center application training. Seeks continued avenues for learning new business and technical applications.

Experience managing large, multi-disciplinary teams in a complex matrix IT environment. Direct accountability for all budgets and deadlines in unit. Advises others on managing HR processes, coaching and developing employees.

Demonstrated experience implementing/supporting the SAP SRM and MM module, Supervisory experience, leadership role on deployment and upgrade projects.

Basic knowledge of Finance and Accounts Payable process

Relocation is not available for this position.
