The School Solutions Group of McGraw-Hill Education, has an immediate opening for an Associate Image Coordinator-Project Status position.



Responsibilities:

Responsible for leading image research and acquisition projects for the School Solutions Group.
Assisting in identifying and developing vendors to maintain quality, budget, and schedules; training employees and vendors in image research and acquisition procedures; monitoring vendor performance and ensuring quality of work delegated; developing acquisition strategies and project flow; tracking project image budget and discusses solutions to budgetary concerns.
Analyzing manuscripts and art/photo specs; researching and acquiring imagery; maintaining complete project documentation and accurate logs; foreseeing image acquisition problems and implementing solutions; meeting fair representation targets; maintaining current knowledge of image costs and negotiates fees for rights-protected images; maintaining current knowledge of national and local photographers and artists; working with teams to solve problems; working with the Visual Coordinator to maintain project goals and schedules.
The individual remains current with new technologies in the areas of art, photography, film work, and separations.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably with an emphasis in an art or photography.
Must have a minimum of 2 years image research and acquisition experience preferably in the publishing field.
Must possess strong problem solving, organizational, and scheduling skills.
Must have Macintosh experience in Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft Office.
Must have excellent communication skills, coordinate with external vendors, as well as follow the direction of others.
Individual must have strong image research and acquisition abilities and be capable of art and photo quality control.
Must have knowledge of 4 color/separation, printing, and binding processes as well as knowledge of electronic publishing processes/technology skills.df-tc
