GENERAL JOB FUNCTION:
TRASYS, Inc. is currently seeking an Avaya Network Technician for a long term contract in Bloomington, IL.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
•This resource will join the Voice and Video Telecommunications team and be assigned as a technical resource for the R13559 - Claims Phone Hub project.
•The Voice and Video Telecommunications component is responsible for:
•Implements, integrates, and supports clients infrastructure with technical applications and related vendor software/hardware
•Performs research on infrastructure technologies and tools; designs and implements infrastructure architecture; implements and upgrades products
•Responsible for the integrity of the infrastructure through product selection, development, understanding and managing the infrastructure, performance, and stability
•Develops, follows, and/or implements infrastructure policies, strategies, guidelines, standards, and procedures
•Interfaces with business partners to:
•Understand their technical needs
•Design, develop, or recommend integrated technical solution
•Implement and support integrated technical solutions research, recommendation, and design implementation of voice/video telecommunications equipment and associated technologies.
•This individual will be responsible for:
•Providing technical assistance to the Zones with the cut-over of spooked sites to the hub (Operation Center).
•Assisting the VVTS component with Tier 3 support of the Avaya telephony voice infrastructure including handling a wide variety of incident and problem resolution for the Enterprise
•Record, understand, analyze, and resolve incidents and problems on the voice network
•Effective use HP Service Desk (HPSD)
•Communicate with customer, business partners, and leadership with the ability to put technical information into layman's terms
•Follow established procedures for documenting, resolving and escalating business partner incidents/problems
•Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Skills sets required but not limited to:
Broad based knowledge of infrastructure technologies
Experience with Avaya telephony hardware and software, specifically the S8700 platform
Experience with Intuity LX systems
Above average knowledge of Unix/Linux and Windows servers
Ability to perform troubleshooting on an Avaya PBX based telephony network to isolate, diagnose, and correct incidents/problems
Ability to work in team environment
Ability to think strategically and from a broad perspective
General understanding of current infrastructure industry trends/best practices
