Description
Responsibilities: Managing software development projects to successful delivery on time and on budget. Including (but not limited to): scoping, estimating, planning, resourcing, tracking, measuring, reporting status, managing risks, support transition, and project closure. Defining project resource plan, including internal and contract resources. Monitoring project to ensure completion within defined schedule, budget, and quality parameters. Effectively contracting and communicating with stakeholders to ensure satisfaction with project management services and product delivery. Working proactively with the client to resolve critical issues. Identifying and leading alternative solutions. Consulting with others on development and execution of complex project plans. Effectively leading and managing internal and external project resources. Delegating and empowering others and removes obstacles. Maintains open communication among project team members and leads project review meetings.Required Skills/Experience: Bachelors Degree (business, information technology, computer science/systems analysis or equivalent degree/experience), with 6+ yrs related project management and information systems software development lifecycle experience; 3+ years working on business intelligence initiatives. Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, terminology, and architecture. Experience with various business intelligence technologies (applications, databases, ETL, reporting, etc.). Experience balancing technical, marketing and business perspectives. Demonstrated ability to ensure quality through the software development lifecycle. Demonstrated ability to make clear, quick decisions and judgment in time-sensitive, pressure situations. Ability to drive issues and decisions to closure. Experience in cross-functional teams, fulfilling global initiatives, and managing matrixed project teams. Expert project management skills, especially project planning, risk management, and capacity planning. Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment. Excellent spoken and written communication as well as receptive listening skills, with ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences. Excellent team player able to work with virtual and global cross functional teams. Excellent influencing skills and the ability to bring teams together. Ability to work with deadlines and in a fast paced environment. Has demonstrated clear leadership skills and experience working with large, complex projects. Self-directed. Ability to assemble strategic plans and then operationalize them. Broad knowledge of business processes, business metrics, business systems, and interrelationships between organizations.Desired Skills: ADM/Scrum experience. Professional project management credentials (such as PMI). Demonstrated advanced negotiation and presentation skills. Experience with web applications, databases (preferably Oracle), ETL applications, reporting/data presentation tools and SQL is a plus. Background in business process analysis, requirements, and design. Experience taking a consultative approach with clients or internal customers.
