Description
The CIO is responsible for the management of the Banks technology and information resources with an emphasis on core banking systems. Manages the evaluation, implementation, and support activity for internal and external automated information processing systems and services, including all software, hardware and related equipment. The position of CIO is established to direct, plan, organize and control all activities of the MIS Department and to ensure the effective, efficient and secure operation of all automated data processing systems.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1.Oversees all computer, telecommunications and technology for the Company.2.Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server & NT, Internet technologies, and software development project management. Familiarity with Harland products such as Phoenix core banking and Interlinq mortgage banking.3.Develops and recommends new products and procedures to streamline operations and enhance the Companys technology to further its customer service.4.Develops, implements and oversees the companys IT Strategic planning, procedures, objectives and policies for data processing, telecommunications and computing activities.5.Responsible for ensuring compliance as it relates to OTS safety and soundness, Gramm Leach Bliley, SAS70, and disaster recovery/business continuity planning, and reporting such to the Board of Directors.6.Manages network services and bank technology and maintains the network diagram and architecture to ensure that project timelines are adhered to and completed in an accurate manner.7.Reports directly to Executive Management, oversees the IT Steering committee, and is accountable for all technology-related activities within the company.8.Develops programs and hardware systems to ensure that the environments are fully integrated.9.Prepares specifications relating to the purchase of new hardware and software. 10.Responsible for the Information Technology departments budget management and reports this to Senior level executives to contribute to cost-effective operation of the company.

Requirements:

At least 5 years experience in a CTO or CIO role at a bankAt least 10 years experience in a management role with direct reportsIn-depth working knowledge of operating systems and network environmentMicrosoft Certification desired.Excellent knowledge of current information systems, technologies and productsBS degree in Information Systems and at least 7 years work experience in all phases of computer operations. Experience directing employees in a data processing environment. In depth and complete knowledge of all aspects of data processing. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
