Description
The Business Intelligence Administrator is responsible for the installation, capacity planning, performance tuning, troubleshooting & configuration of the business intelligence platforms. Coordinates the integration and change control techniques for test, UAT, and production environments. Work jointly with the data management team to understand data domains, values, cardinalities and other dimensions of data needed to support BI solutions. Additional responsibilities include technical documentation, research & development, and software evaluation and selection.

Experience/Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent IT experience;• Experience/knowledge of the following: Cognos, BO, Power Designer, SAS, PowerPlay, Transformer and ReportNet;• 4+ yrs of total Cognos Series 7 experience (PowerPlay, Transformer, ReportNet, and Catalog Management).• 4+ yrs experience in cube development and deployment in Windows environment (Powerplay and Transformer). • Experience in managing Cognos security with Access Manager, including structuring users and userclasses in a large deployment. • Sound knowledge of data warehousing methodologies and technologies with proven expertise in Business Intelligence reporting tools, RDBMS and CRM products.• Leadership/mentoring experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or business administration.Exposure to migrating / upgrading from Cognos 7 to Cognos 8 would be desirable.• Experience in using automation in Cognos environments is desirable.
