Qimonda's Development Center in Williston, VT is looking for an outstanding, talented, CAD Engineer to keep us at the forefront of technology and invite applications from qualified professionals.

Description:

Evaluate, introduce and support state-of -the-art software tools for the development of highly integrated circuits for conventional and special DRAM products
Become a local expert on the efficient application of transistor- and gate-level simulation tools from Synopsys, Cadence and Mentor.
Continuously improve the full-custom design flow by introducing new concepts and methods to verify the chip behavior.
Understand the specific DRAM technology process to setup and maintain parasitic extraction and analysis flows.
Gain an excellent CAD flow understanding to be able to customize the generic CAD flow by project specific add-ons.
Investigate problems found in the complex design system and develop creative solutions.
Always strive for first-time-right and faster product development times.
Observe trends in the EDA market, and if necessary, set these trends.
Work in a strong local team and also embedded in the global CAD group

Requirements:

Experience in CAD of integrated circuits and/or integrated circuit design, especially in a full-custom environment.
Very good understanding of transistor- and gate-level simulation tools, e.g. Nanosim, HSIM, Ultrasim, HSPICE, ncsim, modelsim
Good know-how in the field of parasitic extraction and analysis, incl. IR drop and electromigration, e.g. Assura RCX, Star-RCXT
Familiarity with UNIX, SKILL, Perl, and shell programming.

Specific or Entrepreneurial Knowledge:

Know-how of DRAM design and technology, know-how of DRAM functionality desirable
Strong problem solving skills and commitment to follow-up on customer requests are indispensable
Excellent communication skills
English (other languages welcome)
Minimum Qualifications:

MS + 2 years experience or BS + 5 years experiencedf-tc
