Description
Our client, one of the world's largest hotel companies and the world's largest internet retailer, has an immediate need for 5 Channel Market Managers - located throughout the U.S. One Channel Manager is needed in each of the following cities:

Atlanta, Wash D.C., Chicago, San Francisco, and Orlando

These positions are a part of a test project to drive channel demand in these target cities. If the project is successful, positions will be opened in other cities as well. All candidates will initially come to Atlanta to client's headquarters for immediate training.

As Channel Market Manager, you will drive business strategies that maximize revenue opportunities for hotels for all direct and indirect distribution channels.

You will do this by:
- identifying demand opportunities
- deploying conversion initiatives across channels
- assisting hotels with executing channel marketing initiatives in the market

You will be providing information to clients, vendors, senior management and staff. Must be able to work effectively with GMs and Principal Correspondents in assigned hotels, and possess strong relationship development/management skills. Conflict management/resolution and negotiation/persuasion skills critical.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify demand generators for all distribution channels.
Identify conversion and revenue, per sales opportunites.
Execute channel marketing initiatives at the local hotel level.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
- Global and regional Managers and Directors within E-Commerce, Global Distribution Systems, and Reservations; Hotel Performance Support personnel or regional equivalent
- Competitors: to stay informed of competitive strategies and business conditions
- 3rd Party E-Commerce Account Managers: to maintain strong relationships to secure premier placement, take advantage of promotional opportunities, and participate in parent events
- Affiliate Marketing Partners: to maintain strong relationships to drive demand to brand web sites.

Aditional Requirements:
- Demonstrated mastery of technical and business knowledge and understanding of multiple disciplines/processes related to the position
- Hotel industry sales experience is highly desirable
- Previous use of market and internal intelligence tools like Internet At a Glance, TravelClick, Phaser, Hotelligence, and VCRO reporting to identify and execute against channel revenue opportunities
- Conflict management/resolution and negotiation/persuasion skills critical
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with effective follow-through and attention to detail.



Experience/Skills
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- e-Commerce experience strongly preferred
- CRO and GDS channel experience
- 6-10 years experience in reservation distribution channels including: voice, internet, and GDS
