Description
The job exists to support and maintain the corporate network and all of its associated peripheral equipment, in its expansion and development.

To oversee installation and maintenance work on all network elements.

To administer and maintain all documentation associated with the network.

To assist with the control and regulation of capital and operational expenses within the network


Principal accountabilities

To ensure faults are rectified on all network elements.

To organize moves, adds, changes, and provide Network services,

To manage day-to-day activity on the systems/network.

Some jobs, usually installation, maintenance, programming work, and general administration, will be handed to the job holder, and become the job holders responsibility for completion.

To produce regular reports for senior management on all areas of the network highlighting areas for improvement, with recommended solutions.

To assist with the management of the Network budget, and cost reduction exercises.

To evaluate new technologies, and identify opportunities within company to implement them

To negotiate services with vendors, users and senior management.

Create complex PL\SQL queries for troubleshooting and reporting.

Planning rollout activities, procedures, and policies for repeatable practices.

Document deployment techniques for rolling-out and supporting current and future technologies.

Work closely with Customer Care management, Corporate Project Managers, and MIS/IT groups to achieve Call Center Technology related goals.

Work closely with vendors to achieve Call Center Technology related goals.

Work closely with Call Center Technology service providers to manage all call center technology related installations and services.

Identify and document value-added technologies/solutions for company wide deployment.

Mentors and trains junior staff in call center technology, applications, and policies.

Participates in strategic and tactical planning of complex voice networks with an emphasis on call routing solutions.

Able to handle pressure situations and proficiency in multitasking.

To carry out any other duties, as directed by the Manager of voice applications

Experience/Skills
A minimum of 5 years experience of Cisco Network/Telecommunication systems, i.e routers, switches (layer 2 & 3), firewalls, VPN equipment/applications, network management tools.

Strong experience of TCP/IP, QOS, VOIP Frame Relay, MPLS and Broadband technologies along with all other voice/data networking principles

Strong Microsoft experience server, AD, Exchange, IIS, etc. Ideally holds MCSE certification

In depth knowledge of Cisco Call Manager 4.x configuration and support.

Min. 7 - 10 years applicable call routing experience.

Min. 3 - 5 years enterprise wide Cisco call routing experience ICM, CCM, CTIOS, and Unity.

Min 1 2 years IPCC experience.

In depth knowledge and working experience of Cisco Systems IPCC and ICM 7.x scripting.

In depth knowledge of Cisco CVP/IVR configuration and support.

Working Knowledge of Nuance SpeechWorks.

Demonstrated aptitude for support and implementation of enterprise wide call center technologies.

Two or more years experience working in UNIX environments.

Three or more years PL/SQL experience.

Demonstrated ability for successfully managing multiple projects.

Detail oriented, good analytical and troubleshooting skills, good communication skills both written and oral, organized and methodical.

Ability to work in a team environment, under pressure and deadlines.

BS Degree in Computer Science or similar discipline preferred.




Other desired skills:
