Description
Provides technical and administrative support to large software development and maintenance programs, to include but not limited to configuration identification, configuration control, configuration status accounting, and configuration reviews and audits for software and hardware. Responsible for developing and maintainging CM Plans, processes and procedures, performing software builds and installations, maintaining multiple baselines, and COTS management. Experience desirable in full software development life cycle, effective oral and written communication skills, and ability to work well in a team environment with limited supervision.



Tools and Platform experience in ClearCase, ClearQuest, UNIX, Windows, and HP.



General Position Description
Participates in the coordination and administration of assigned configuration management activities relative to identification, control, and accounting for systems and/or equipment in accordance with contractual requirements. Establishes procedures for and implements the introduction of changes to engineering documents for an assigned program. Reviews and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities. Ensures that customer requirements are implemented and reviews change accounting activity to ensure compliance with configuration management policies.

Typical Minimum Education
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 6 years of professional experience; or 4 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career, or journey, level.
