JOB SUMMARY: Configuration Manager (Software Development. - Visualization)



Assist in reviews of configuration management plans and policies

Review and audit contractor policies, procedures and work processes

Assist in the conduct of physical and functional configuration audits

Assist in government contract configuration management.

Operate and maintain a configuration management database; perform daily updates.

Assist in updating draft directive update notices.

Assist with the document control process

Draft and process CDRL approval notices to staff to ensure contractual requirements are met.

Assist in maintaining, updating and distributing electronic and hardcopy documentation; post to appropriate electronic locations.

Track, review and analyze delivery schedules.

Review CDRL requirements

Assist requiring office in determining data requirements; generate CDRLs.

Assist in processing Freedom of Information Act requests.

Required 4 years experience in data management and/or software configuration

TASKS / RESPONSIBILITIES



Required



Provide configuration management of Vizible software releases

Ensure implementation of polices and procedures that ensure solid configuration management practices and procedures.

Track and document approved changes to Vizible software code

Publish configuration management documentation as required for management review

Participate and provide input into the Certification and Accreditation process for software releases requiring this level of activity.

Notify senior management of configuration management issues that require resolution

Recommend and implement courses of action to resolve any configuration issues.



Desired



Highly desire candidate with:

HTML, Web Design Skill sets, Software Design experience and/or knowledge.

Software Engineering knowledge and/or skill sets.

Background in military or defense contracting.

Commercial Software Acquisition, Marketing, contracting experience or knowledge.



EDUCATION REQD.



Degree(s) Reqd. (min.): Bachelors Degree (B.S.) Computer Science or Engineering or Business

Discipline: Computer Science, Engineering or Business management disciplines

Years of Exp. in Lieu of Degree: 8-14 years experience

Desired (military/certifications/computer skills) Experience as a data/configuration manager managing a DoD or commercial software acquisition program.



SUPERVISORY TASKS / TRAVEL / PHYSICAL / SITE REQUIREMENTS



No supervisory tasks during initial tasking

- Some travel required to customer locations to resolve configuration issues and to assist senior managers in configuration issues.
