Description
One of the world's largest and most diverse providers of professional technical services (services include scientific and specialty consulting as well as all aspects of engineering, construction, and operations & maintenance) has an ASAP need for a Database Specialist/Programmer with a minimum of 3 years of experience. This position is involved in database programming in the areas of accounting/invoicing and contracts. Requires expertise in MS Access (97 to 2003), Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) scripting using standard Microsoft Procedures, record sets, SQL query skills, ODBC capabilities to manage information from other databases. A sample listing of some of the skills and/or knowledge required in this position include: joining multiple tables, identifying primary keys, creating DBs, advanced querying of DBs, creating forms and reports, table design enhancement, identifying one-to-one or one-to-many relationships between tables. Required combined background in MS Access and VBA. Pay range between $35-$45 per hour DOE. Terms open to contract, contract-to-hire, and project. Moderate travel required. Position is centrally located in the Southern San Joaquin Valley of California (Bakersfield).
