Description
Disney ABC Domestic Television is seeking a Database Administrator.

Job Description
The position involves working with technical team members to integrate application enhancements and repairs into our chosen technology architecture. As a key member of the team, the Database Administrator will provide oversight and support for the installation, integration, operations, and support of application software, database management software, computer hardware, and supporting network. The candidate must also be comfortable working in an unstructured environment, have the ability to apply creativity and critical thinking to problem solving, and have excellent verbal communication and visual/presentation skills.

Specific responsibilities of the Database Administrator are:

·Support the application development team’s efforts during design, development, test, troubleshooting, and implementation phases of development.
·Planning work, software installations, implementation activities, maintaining environments, and documenting all environment configuration changes.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS
Education: College Degree, Technology/Computer Science

Number of Years of Work Experience: 5 to 7 Years

Technical Skills: The Database Administrator candidate typically should have following experience:

·5+ years of system administration experience with Unix AIX (Current Version 5.3)
·5+ years of database administration experience with Sybase ASE (Current Version 15.0.1)
·3+ years system administration experience with Windows Server and Microsoft SQL Server
·Experience with Embarcadero DBArtisan (current version 8.5.0) and ERStudio (current version 7.5)
·Experience in designing, testing and maintaining complex computer systems and databases (tables, triggers, stored procedures, etc)
·Experience in installing, integration, support and performance configuration of data interfaces
·Experience with secure data transfer processes and procedures a plus
·Knowledge of Version Controls such as Visual Source Safe is a plus.
·Experience with Business Intelligence Systems is a plus

Non-Technical Skills: Excellent written/verbal communication skills
