Description
Data Management TechnicianLocation: Petaluma, CAEssential Functions/Responsibilities: (other functions may be assigned)* Loads data provided by analytical laboratories into databases using standard in-house applications. * Coordinates with analytical laboratories in receipt and loading of electronic data files. * Produces reports using standard in-house applications.* Creates adhoc reports using Microsoft Access for various projects. * Creates adhoc load procedures to load data provided in non-standard formats. * Runs semi-procedurized loading and reporting applications to load project data and to produce project reports and plots. * Performs data validation of laboratory analytical data (MACTEC will train). * Communicates with MACTEC, laboratory, and client personnel. * Creates documentation of system and project procedures.Qualifications: (specify years of experience, skills required, education and license requirements)* Associate Degree in Information Technology. * Two years experience in the Information Technology field. * Experienced with Microsoft Access - Loading and updating data, creating queries and reports. Building applications using forms and Visual Basic for Applications a definate plus.* Familiar with Microsoft Excel. * Some familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 as a data source desirable but not required. * Able to handle multiple tasks. * Good time management skills required. Able to meet project time requirements and deal with short deadlines. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Good people skills and a service-oriented attitude. * Must pass drug screen and background checkdf-tc
