Data Warehouse ArchitectJob DescriptionA client of ours, a venture backed company is looking for a Data Warehouse Architect to lead the development of a complex, ETL intensive data warehouse system supporting its product. This company is a leading on-line business intelligence provider for direct response marketers - a 300+ billion dollar business and has made the decision to invest back into their company by updating their IT systems in order to support a significant increasing their business. With venture backing, this company presents candidates with the ground-up opportunities of a start-up yet offering a position with an established, reputable and successful business.
Qualifications Technical skills required



A proven understanding and practice in data warehouse architecture and design is mandatory.



Solid understanding of best-practices in data warehouse architecture and the understanding of the challenges working within a start-up team are critical



Working knowledge of SQL Server 2005 and its supporting toolset required (2008 a plus).



5+ years experience with data warehouse architecture, design and development. A working understanding of the Inmon methodology a plus.



3+ years experience with ETL architecture, design and development



5 + years experience with relational data bases – Microsoft toolset a plus



5+ years experience with SQL



Experience in developing reports using Microsoft BI development tools
Additional skills and attributes you need to be successful at this job include:


Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing to the technical and management staff



Exceptional logical reasoning, analysis, and problem solving skills



Experience with system development and change management methodologies



Demonstrated ability to deliver on promised artifacts and/or manage communication when issues arise



Manage multiple deliverables in a highly energized and fast-paced environment
