Description
PURPOSE: Work with Business Intelligence/ Data Warehouse/Datamart team to extend and support applications surrounding the ETL and development of new 10G Oracle Portal and OLAP features. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: Function as technical development resource for Business Intelligence, Data warehouse and Datamart applications. Maintain a high level of competence, professionalism, and systems expertise while working through development life cycle. Work with Project Manager, Business Analyst and Tech Lead/Architect to delivery software product according to detail project plan. Analyze and translate user requirements into proper system specifications and technical design. Mange scope and objective of project requests. Work with Project Manager, Business Analyst and Tech Lead/Architect to provide detailed IT development estimates and implementation plan. Assure system and technical solutions are made part of the long-term strategic development plan. Be responsible for development of technical component design and migration to production. Stay abreast of significant technological developments that may impact the business. Coordinate cross-functional activities with other IS departments as required. Continue to enhance technical skills through formal education, self-study, or the application of new technologies to business solutions. Investigate application maintenance problems and make corrections as required to prevent reoccurrence. Provide systems support as required both during and after normal working hours. Communicate effectively to management and development staff. Keep them aware of project status, and seek assistance or approval where appropriate. Other duties as assigned by manager, or supervisor.

Requirements:

TECHNICAL SKILLS: Experience in: Oracle 9i or Oracle 10G as well as PL/SQL and SQLPlus 3 - 5+ years Unix environment , AIX preferred. Solaris OK 3-5+ years EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 4 year degree related to computer science or business information systems and minimum of 6 years experience in Oracle Data Warehousing development. 2+ years with Oracle 9ias or Oracle 10G.
