Description
Acxiom is seeking an experienced Database Administrator/Developer to join our Products and Infrastructure Organization.

Looking for a challenge? This team's scope of responsibility includes maintenance, development, and support involving large projects with high, corporate-wide, visibility (4,000 + tables). Their projects touch all Acxiom products and internal applications.

Acxiom Database Administrators/Developers use specific relational database management system structure and technology to create and maintain physical databases. Database Administrators/Developers implement procedures and practices regarding database design, development, monitoring, access, and upkeep.

Responsibilities:

-Create and modify tables, data structure and queries, ad-hoc special purpose queries, data migrations.
-Support Database API components written in multiple languages such C++ and Java.

Desired skills include:

-Bachelors Degree in Computer Technology or equivalent experience

- Working knowledge of SQL Server with experience as MS SQL Server DBA

- Excellent problem-solving skills and detail oriented with a self-starting attitude

- Experience developing (e.g. stored procedures, DTS, SQL, etc?) in MS SQL Server environment.

- ColdFusion , Java, C/C++

- Oracle experience

- Excellent communication skills

- Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment and as a member of an application development team. (5 team members on-site in Conway, 1 off-site team member located in New York)

- Work with development teams in troubleshooting application and database issues.

- Involved in the Database Design and database changes to existing applications.

- End-to-end, SDLC (software development life cycle) experience
