Description
The world leader in the production of high performance/high technology alloys for the aerospace, biomedical, chemical processing and nuclear industries, is seeking qualified candidates for the following position: The Solutions Developer will work under the leadership and direction of the Senior Database Administrator. This position will be responsible for performing design, architecture and development of SOA solutions. As a secondary responsibility will be production support of operations required to maintain 24x7 database/application availability, logical design and physical design in support of Production/Development/Test Database operations and support primarily in Oracle environment. Responsibilities include: Design and Architect for Oracle SOA Suites – Oracle BPEL PM, Oracle ESB, Oracle BAM etc. Administration on Oracle Application Server Logical and physical data modelingInstall, upgrade and patch Oracle RDBMS and associated software. Design and implement different backup and recovery strategies on both operating systems level (HP Unix, Linux and Windows) and database level (Oracle and SQL Server). Perform performance tuning on both databases and applications.Manage user access and security management of databases.Perform logical design and physical implementation of databases.Provide technical support for production, test and development. Perform capacity planning and analysis for existing and future systems.Perform basic Unix / Linux administration.Any other DBA routine tasks. Required qualifications include: BS or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science (equivalent will be accepted for Bachelors degree if applicant has 7 years direct experience)8 years in IT environment with at least 3-4 years in Oracle e-business Implementations. Ideally 2-3 years experience with SOA based integration projects.Strong knowledge of SQL – Analytic functions.Good design experience on JAVA/J2EE based projects will be an advantage.Expert knowledge of SQL/PL SQL.Full understanding of Oracle architecture and Database concepts is also required.Good understanding of Object-Oriented concepts is a must. In addition to the Oracle requirements must also have experience with Unix.Must have excellent communication skills and be willing to work in a team environment that is fast paced.df-tc
