Description
A Sacramento company in the gambling industry is currently seeking a SQL DBA. This is an entry level position but requires a minimum of 2 years working experience in a Database Administration position. The job duties will include: installation and configuration of the system, maintenance and monitoring of system and the maintenance and monitoring of stored procedures, monitoring storage space and handling correction of alerts. SQL DBA must have experience and knowledge of troubleshooting stored procedures and ability to write stored procedures. Technologies used are SQL Server 2000 primarily and some 2005. This candidate will also be an integral part of a 2 year project to migrate completely to SQL Server 2005. This is a team environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment a must. Candidate must have the ability to communicate the status of deadlines and projects to all levels of management. Upcoming projects include security and documentation.
