Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for a Desk Side Support Analyst to join our team in Apple Valley, CA.

OPAS tickets: Applicant must acknowledge tickets in a timely manner, respond to helpdesk inquiries promptly, communicate with the customer, and do quality work on each ticket.

Applicant must utilize account quality control procedures and complete RCA forms for all SEV 1 & 2 tickets. Escalation: Ensure that critical problems are quickly communicated to your team leader.

Applicant will need to ensure that all project work is completed on time. Applicant's project/maintenance load will be determined by how successful/on-time your projects are:



Required Skills:
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot PC and Printer devices for common issues.
  • 1-2 years experience to understand, troubleshoot and resolve Ethernet connectivity issues and Peripheral connectivity issues.
  • 1-2 years experience in PC re-build, re-imaging or device deployment.
  • Proven knowledge of email fundamentals as it relates to the PC and MS Office Suite support.
  • PDA configuration and support (PALM, Windows CE).
  • Ability to learn and comprehend devices they may not typically utilize, i.e. Thin Client, Label Printers, Bar Code Scanners, etc
  • Mental Characteristics: Must be able to exercise appropriate judgment when assessing the needs of the client and determine the resolution best suited for the situation. Requires a high level of initiative and independence. Handle concurrent or multiple tasks/projects efficiently.
  • Physical Characteristics: Vision sufficient to read standard text, read a computer monitor and to drive; speak and hear well enough to communicate clearly and understandably in person, over the telephone and in small groups; independent body mobility to stand, sit, walk, stoop, and bend to access a standard office environment; manual dexterity to use hands, arms and shoulders repetitively to operate a keyboard and to write. Body strength sufficient to lift up to 25 pounds. Able to work in an office environment, on field assignments and occasionally drive to other locations and work evenings or weekends for special situations.

    Desired Skills:
  • Desktop/PC Sup., Win9x, NT, 2K, XP PC / Server Hardware and Configuration
  • Excellent Customer Service skills.
  • Novell Experience Preferred.
  • Telecommunication
  • Experience working with TCP/IP LAN/WAN networked servers (Windows) and EMC SAN connectivity devices (Fibre Channel technology, McData and/or Brocade switches)


    Minimum Educational Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent


    Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:
  • A+, MCSE preferred
