Description
Genesis10 Consulting's San Francisco office is seeking an experienced testing consultant for a year-long contract in the Santa Rosa, CA area.

**Note..W2 only; No Third Parties....US Citizen/Green Card Holder only.

This resource will provide basic user support and problem resolution in an IBM mainframe and Windows NT environment. Assists in the installation and support of PC/LAN hardware and software as well as mainframe terminals and printers. Configures PCs and printers to connect to the LAN and is involved in the administration of user accounts. Provides support both on-site as well as remotely in a help desk environment. Responsible for maintaining and supporting documentation. Must be able to participate in the 7x24 on-call rotation. Required to have own transportation.

Experience/Skills
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Windows NT/2000 MCP certification required.

Qualification 1-2 years experience in PC hardware and software installation, troubleshooting and support.
Ability to evaluate and troubleshoot workstations and peripheral devices with minimal assistance.
IBM mainframe experience desirable.
Lotus Notes experience desirable.
Knowledge of computer science theory, network architectures and data communication protocols.
Strong oral and interpersonal communications skills, strong problem solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Must be able to prioritize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively.
Should have proven ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Coordinates basic user administration including adds, changes, deletions.
Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
Available as needed, for evening and weekend work required. Able to lift 40 lbs.
