Genesis10 has an opportunity for a Desktop Support Specialist.

**Note..W2 only; not Third Parties..US Citizens/Green Card Holders only.

The Project: GroupWise to Lotus Notes Migration - 2000 GroupWise users
Will provide field desktop support to augment existing staff that is providing Notes installation for manual installs, troubleshooting with end-users after deployment, and executing PDA synching software upgrades.

Main Responsibilities:
*Will enter Lotus Notes Problem Tickets
*Will respond to Lotus Notes Problem tickets
*Provide Level 2 technical and problem solving support to all users in assigned facilities.
**Support includes desktop hardware and operating environment, printers, and end-user software applications. Also assists with troubleshooting LAN electronics, file servers, network operating system and wide area network voice/data connectivity when appropriate.
Coordinates & performs installation of end-user hardware in conjunction with analysts and vendors.

Experience/Skills
Required Skills:
*Extensive experience with Lotus Notes 6.5
*MCSE (Microsoft Certified Professional certification in Windows NT 4.0 or Windows 2000)
*Remedy usage experience
*5-7 current solid years of desktop support exp.
7-9 years overall experience
*Must have heavy duty Lotus notes experience.
-Dell DCSE Certification a plus
-Proven experience installing and troubleshooting LAN hardware/software, desktop devices, and end-user applications.
-Manual dexterity and near visual acuity. Job requires lifting up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
-Excellent time management skills; strong leadership capabilities, strong oral communication skills to effectively interact with users; strong analytical skills and sound judgment; ability to work effectively with other functional areas as appropriate.

This position may also require travel back and forth between sites in the Atlanta Metro area and will therefore require a valid driver's license as well as a vehicle. Must be able to move throughout Medical Center to troubleshoot problems. Must be available for a varied schedule, as some work will take place on weekend and evenings.
