Build/Tools

Run a Doc Studio environment capable of:

supporting our new Assistance model, including ACW (active content wizards)
outputting single-sourced content to both HTML Help and Word formats (and XML for web FAQ and web articles?)
tagging single-sourced content for individual project outputs, tagging could be at topic level or (preferably) paragraph/sentence level.

Comfortable with batch scripting and working at the Windows command prompt (for modifying the Doc Studio output)

HTML, XML, XSL transform experience
Net Framework, ,C#, VB.NET, C++ Knowledge - (Not in-depth coding - a line of code here or there, and the ability to understand where the tool broke)
A strong familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server 2000, including SQL queries and the Microsoft SQL Server UI. This skill is necessary for investigating and troubleshooting issues with DocStudio, and for understanding the underlying technology of DocStudio, although this skill will probably not be used very often in day-to-day work.
An interest in proactively seeking out and modifying build tools to improve build processes and the appearance of build output. A builder who notices ways that the output could be improved and actively seeks out ways to implement those improvements is strongly preferred.

Convert Word documents to PDF and/or XPS formats
Checking in HTML Help to source tree, code check to make sure it doesn't break the product build

Interest in investigating other content delivery tools (as appropriate)
Convert content into XML format for web posting, familiarity with the company's web templates and posting process
automated indexing, and standard checks like running the company's Policheck tool and searching for/fixing broken links.
