.NET Developer (C# language

Sysgenix Resources has been asked by a client in the Nashville area to assist in finding highly motivated, self-directed, C# developers to serve in a technical capacity for building & maintaining new software development. The developers will need to have extensive object oriented design and development of client-side UI and database interaction with C# in either .NET / Visual Studio or Mono environments required. The work involves a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), object oriented design, well known development patterns, and challenging development requirements for both distributed application development and hardware level application domains.

There are multiple positions with either contract and or contract to hire.

JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle requirements analysis, development, testing, and implementation
  • Participate in technical logic and design discussions
  • Contribute to the development of custom code
  • Contribute to the review and analysis of business requirements
  • Create, maintain, and present technical documentation to different audiences and levels
  • Regularly inform supervisor of development status
  • Perform resource, technical and risk assessments
  • Work with 3rd party vendor on technical design/specifications, development, testing and deployment to ensure product requirements
  • Develop and write computer programs under general supervision within specified in-house procedural standards
  • Prepare test data and tests programs to assure correctness of logic
  • Debug present programs to assist production program problems
  • Responsible for program maintenance, reloading of files and job recovery
  • Prepare required documentation, including project plans, software program, and user documentation
  • Assist in the estimation of personnel requirements, cost and time for development projects
  • Train and assist computer area and user personnel when appropriate

    POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
    Experience: 3+ years Object Oriented programming experience - 3+ years C# development.

    Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong hands-on expertise in developing fat client C# applications (Windows Forms or Mono GTK)
  • Strong hands-on expertise in developing database and message oriented C# applications.
  • Experience with all of the following libraries and toolsets are required: SVN or CVS, Visual Studio, Windows Forms (or Mono GTK), ADO.NET
  • Experience with some or all of the following libraries and toolsets are preferred: SOAP, XML-RPC, web services, Mono, GCC / g++ (C++)
  • Must be familiar with various UML diagrams and modeling techniques.
  • Must possess strong analytical and technical documentation skills
  • Experience with distributed systems or a large enterprise background is a plus
  • Must have an excellent understanding and hands-on experience with design and development best practices
  • Must be willing to work overtime, including weekends, when required
  • Must possess ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Must be a team player who understands the importance of teamwork, collaboration and open communication, including a willingness to work in a pair programming environment on occasion.
  • Must possess ability to effectively present information and respond to questions

    Education: Bachelors Degree or higher in Computer Science or Math or equivalent industry experience.
