We are currently seeking an ETL Developer for a 6 month contract with one of our clients in the RTP area. Overall Responsibilities: The Credit group is responsible for development and support of front office technology for the global Credit desks including High Grade, High Yield, Syndicate, Global Loans, and Corporate Banking. The group develops trading and risk management systems, connectivity w/ electronic exchanges, and a full range of feeds that connect front and back office systems. The group also supports vendor applications. The department is working on a project to migrate the High Grade desk to the High Yield infrastructure. This project involves work to connect the High Yield infrastructure to a set of internal trading systems as well as external ECNs. This position is specifically focused on the feed work involved in these connections. We seek a developer that will work across the project space in implementing critical components of the Credit architecture Functional Responsibilities: Specific tasks include but are not limited to: o Integrate, Implement and support ETL processes for both internal and external feeds. o Design, develop, and test C, C++, C# and/or java code. o Work with various internal messaging systems EMS, MSMQ, and FOBOCA. o Work with Bloomberg, ECN's, 3rd party software providers and TIS to establish connectivity. o Provide post-implementation production support based on subject-matter expertise. SKILLS: Required Skills: o Ability to work in team environment o Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team Essential Skills o Expert-level proficiency in one or more modern computer languages (e.g., C#, Java, C++). o Knowledge of, experience with, and competence in professional software-development practices. o Proficiency in commercial Message Oriented Middleware solutions including EMS, MQSeries and MSMQ as well as the underlying protocols and messaging paradigms. o Proficieny in relational database design and programming with Oracle, o Desired Skills: o Experience with Inforalgo components. o Experience with Bloomberg TOMS I/O feeds ( Real-time Trade Feed, CMFI, PEI, MPFI). o Experience with ECN API's( TradeWeb & Mkt Access) o Experience with Trace Reporting. o Experience with FOBOCA gaia API. o Experience with multithreaded programming. o Experience with XML parsers. o SQL-Server and Access. WORK EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND: Experience/Background 10+ years post collegiate work experience.
