Description
This position is with a manufacturing company and will be responsible for design and standardization of software and technologies for all new electrical control systems; troubleshooting and maintaining software and logic programs of plant equipment; and training employees on electrical control systems. Duties include: insuring that all existing software is upgraded; purchasing new software for new technology being applied to new and existing plant equipment; assisting the electrical supervisor in updating existing and new equipment program back-up copies; assuring complete and accurate documentation on all new and existing electrical control systems; purchasing electrical components for new production equipment; standardizing all new production control equipment; assisting project engineers on designing and purchasing new equipment; assisting the electrical supervisor in training the electricians and electronic technicians on new installations; and insuring that documentation for new production control equipment is accurate. Experience/Skills
Education: Bachelor-s degree required, Electrical Engineering or similar preferred.

Required Skills: 5+ years experience in electrical control systems; familiar with program development software for SLC, SLC500, PLC-2, PLC-3, PLC-5, DTAM, Control view, and panel view software packages; capable of designing/developing logic programs for all A & B programmable control equipment, including SLC100-150, SLC500 family, PLC-2 family, PLC-3 family, PLC-5 family processors; and familiar with production electronic controlled equipment, AC frequency drives, DC Drives, Servo-Drive systems of all types, robotics equipment, AC monitor controls, and automated assembly line operators.
