Description
Essential Qualifications for All Personnel. All positions for this contract are located in any of 19 separate locations around the Pacific Rim. The majority are in Korea, Japan, Guam, Okinawa, Singapore, Diego Garcia, with some in Alaska and Hawaii. All personnel assigned to this contract shall possess the following qualifications:
Familiarity with current technologies related to small computers, COTS software for word processing, spreadsheet operations, and other utilities; operating systems (preferably UNIX/Solaris, Microsoft Windows and Windows NT, and Macintosh System 9), network functions, system administration, database management fundamentals. Ability to work in the military environment where the contractor is expected to work closely with, and as part of, a military team to meet the organization's mission objectives. This environment includes remote sites throughout the Pacific Rim. Ability to travel overseas or to the CONUS on temporary duty assignments. Ability to wear Mission-Oriented Protective Posture (MOPP) equipment and participate freely in the DOD innoculation program.

Wartime Essential Personnel Designation. Personnel positions designated in task orders as Wartime Essential are required to continue performance under contingency and wartime conditions. Full-time positions in Korea, except trainers and KASC support, are Wartime Essential. Personnel will execute contractor contingency plans for those tasks that have been identified as wartime essential to provide reasonable assurance of continuation during crisis conditions.

Field Service Engineer (FSE) Central/Remote Sites. The field service engineer shall have 5-10 years of recent relevant maintenance experience and shall support multiple site locations including a central site at which contractor personnel are assigned and remote locations at which contractor personnel have responsibility. Contractor shall maintain computer systems in on a network environment and associated peripherals including multiple Unix/NT/XP Severs, routers, workstations, PC's, cameras, alarms, communications, modems, printers, copiers, disk, and tape drives. The FSE shall perform installation, preventive maintenance, configuration management, training, and repair on a wide variety of computer hardware. The contractor shall provide system administration assistance, experienced with Cisco, Unix-OS, NT/XP-enterprise, SMS, and Solaris operating systems; provide site logistic functions, inventory management and materiel acquisitions through a variety of vendors. During the ordered principal period of maintenance (PPM), maintenance at the central site shall be initiated immediately after the Quality Assurance Specialist (QAS) notifies the contractor of a malfunction. For remote location maintenance, the contractor shall be en-route to a remote location within one hour after the central site QAP notifies the contractor of a malfunction, or as otherwise directed by the QAP. In case of conflicting, multiple remote calls, the contractor shall respond in the order of priority established by the QAS. Preventive Maintenance (PM) shall be performed with frequency and duration to be mutually acceptable to the contractor and the Government consistent with the Government's operating requirements and based upon OEM specifications. The contractor shall specify the frequency and the duration of the PM in accordance with OEM specifications required for the equipment.

Education &Training Requirement: BS. Also: MSECP/MCP Solaris, UNIX, CISCO-CCNA, NT/XP, Windows OS, and Office Automation (MS 2000 Professional), Fiber, Troubleshooting, Remove & Replace (TR&R) training.

Candidate must have a Secret security clearance to begin work and be able to obtain an upgrade to a TS/SCI.df-tc
