Field Support ManagerTo apply for this position you MUST be a US Citizen with the ability to acquire a mid-level D.O. D. clearance (drug-free, felony-free) and a Homeland Security Clearance (i.e. no bankruptcies, etc.). You must be able and willing to travel over 50% of the time, and must be able to rent a vehicle (21 years old with valid driving liscense). You will be based in the BAY AREA office.______________________ The FSM is responsible for the management of Field Customer Engineers (CE) on-site at 26 client locations nationwide. The FSM is responsible for ensuring that all customers contractual commitments for Onsite Support are met. Duties Manage and Maintain CE staffing levels at all Supported Locations. (The CEs are the single point of presence on-site at large financial institutions. They provide first level support and maintenance of server hardware and attached peripherals running the client's desktop-based electronic lockbox remittance application. Your team is also responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosis, resolution, and repair of server hardware & Network Operating System problems, as well as issues with attached PC-based peripherals on a 7x24 basis.)Manage customer operational relationships at sites.Manage the Introduction of all equipment into Customer sites.

SKILLS and REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate will possess the following skills and requirements: 5+ years in Field Services Management 7+ years in Customer EngineeringThrough understanding of Remittance and Bank OperationsThrough understanding of Field and Support OperationsThrough understanding of Hardware Support and Spare Parts ManagementThrough understanding of Quality Assurance MethodologiesExcellent communication and documentation skillsMust be willing to be called on a 7 x 24 basis to assist with mission-critical situations must be able and willing to travel over 50% of the timemust be able to rent a vehicle (21 years old with valid driving liscense).It would be advantageous to possess the following technical skills:A minimum of 5 years experience in configuration of server hardware from component level up to in-production mounted in a rack. At least 5 years experience with first-hand experience and support of Network Operating Systems (Novell Netware, Microsoft NT Server). Ability to configure SCSI termination without manuals, and configure software RAID and various levels of hardware RAID arrays and have actual hot swap experiences and be prepared to discuss those situations. Experience with server NOS software version upgrades or brand-to-brand migration experience is a plus. Must be familiar with at least 2 PC-based O/S. Experience in Windows desktop migrations, and LAN Administration is preferred. It is not necessary to have an MCSE or A+ certification, but instead prefer real proven and referenceable track record of relevant industry experience. Strong mechanical aptitude Must be able to lift 50 pounds Interviewing now with goal of start BY April 15, 2006.
