Eclipse Technology Company is servicing a major bio-medical equipment manufacturer and is hiring Field Technicians to perform preventive maintenance on drug and supply automation equipment in hospitals, clinics and major medical facilities. These devices use computer technology and are often network attached. The Technician will follow a specific set of instructions to run a diagnostic program, make minor mechanical adjustments and thoroughly clean the internal and external surfaces of the device. Technicians service primarily hardware and software system components. Additionally, the Technician will participate in the installation and upgrades of these systems and secondarily execute a preventative maintenance program. They will participate in pre-installation testing, reconfiguring, & documentation of uncovered technical issues of all applicable systems. The PM Technicians will receive their daily work orders via email and complete online reports for documentation; high speed internet access required at home. There is no set office to report to for this assignment as the Technicians will be performing warranty support at customer sites.

The client will provide training and telephone support to the Preventive Maintenance Techs as required.

Required skills:
*Strong PC hardware break/fix skills
*Knowledge of Ethernet, LAN/WAN
*Experience troubleshooting computers or electronics
*Customer service skills are a must!

The ideal candidate will possess an Associate certificate/degree in computer electronics or equivalent degree or work experience. A+ Certification or equivalent knowledge is required. A minimum of two years direct, hands-on experience analyzing and repairing computerized electro-mechanical systems is a must. A minimum of one-year experience working in a service capacity with direct customer interaction is preferred. The ability to understand and follow mechanical schematics, electrical wiring diagrams and computer motherboard diagrams is a must. Additionally the understanding of Ethernet communication is preferred. Clear written and oral communications skills are required.

Physical Requirements:
Candidates must be able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds. Must be physically agile and able to maneuver and work in a confined space. Must be able to maneuver equipment on casters weighing approximately 350 lbs. Flexible working hours are required, including nights and weekends.

Additional Requirements:
*PC and high-speed internet access at home location and cell phone for field communications.
*Vehicle for local business travel and therefore must demonstrate a safe driving record. As part of the hiring process a Department of Motor Vehicles history, criminal background check and drug screening may be required.

Training:
On-line training to be completed prior to starting followed by on the job training from one of the local technicians (name TBD).
