Schirmer Engineering Corporation, a subsidiary of Aon Corporation, is a full service, fire protection and life safety engineering firm with 22 offices nationwide. The firm has been in continuous business since 1939 and is now the largest fire protection engineering firm in the nation. The foundation of Schirmer Engineering's leadership position is our highly skilled and client-oriented professional staff, whose education, project experience, and dedication to excellence allow us to address any client's fire protection, life safety, loss control, and security system challenges

Currently, we have an exciting career opportunity for a Fire Protection Consultant in our Las Vegas, NV office.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include design of fire suppression and mechanical smoke control systems; review of construction documents for compliance with mechanical, plumbing and building codes, conduction building site surveys, inspection and testing of fire protection systems.

SPECIAL SKILLS:
Technically oriented, objective, good analytical / organizational skills. Good communication skills. Knowledgeable in fire protection systems design; building life safety systems design and analysis. Computer literate - word, excel.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Previous work experience in an engineering position preferred.

MINIMUM EDUCATION:
B.S Degree in engineering (fire protection preferred) or architecture; EIT desirable
