Description
The GRM Sales Representative is a position within the GS Solution Sales organization. Incumbent should possess a broad working knowledge of the Local Government space, especially Counties and their offices, with a specific understanding of the Land Records/Property Records marketplace. The major focus of the incumbent will be to develop and implement a sales strategy specific to their defined territory, identify prospects and close new GRM business. While this new business may be within an existing GRM account, the majority of the incumbent's time will be spent focused on new named accounts. The individual will work independently within the defined territory, receiving general direction and goals from the Regional Sales Manager. The incumbent will also work closely with the other members of the sales organization, especially the Account Manager and Marketing, to ensure a coordinated effort and message within the market space. An effort must also be made to establish a working relationship with the GS Regional Sales VP to make best use of the contacts, resources and materials already developed for a specific State. The individual will be required to quickly assess the needs within each of the Counties within their territory and determine the best ACS solution to meet those needs. Individual will need to fully understand and articulate a broad array of GRM solutions to the extent that they are recognized as a reliable resource to a prospect. The individual will be required to develop and accurately maintain a Pipeline of opportunities within that is regarded as sufficient enough to attain the necessary new sales. Success within this position will be measured primarily on an ability to attain an annual quota.
SUMMARY:
a. Be responsible for a geographic territory and sell GRM solutions to local governments, namely Counties.
b. The focus of this position will be selling new business within new named accounts. While it is possible that the sale of new business may take place within existing GRM accounts, this position will focus only on new business within existing accounts that exceed a TCV greater than $40,000. (The assigned Account Managers will be responsible for new business opportunities with a TCV less than $40,000.)
c. Previous experience should include a successful record of selling to local government with special attention paid to Land Records/Property Records familiarity.

REPRESENTATIVE PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

Manage a geographic territory to both maintain awareness of opportunities for GRM and to clearly understand where our competition is focused. This must be done efficiently and effectively to ensure full market coverage at a reasonable cost. The expectation is that the Sales Representative will be solely responsible for the activities within this territory and must be able to coordinate most efforts to sell new business within this area.

Identify leads, qualify opportunities, work with our Marketing/Proposal group to communicate our solutions and close an adequate amount of new business so as to attain or exceed an annual quota. In the development of new business, cold calling will be required.

Develop and maintain a pipeline within that provides for ample opportunities to achieve an annual quota. Be able to accurately forecast probable RFP, Award and Close dates and keep this info current in . Quickly and clearly respond to inquiries regarding the pipeline from management on a regular basis.

Identify and attend regular trade shows and conferences within the territory to ensure a regular presence within the marketplace of ACS and our capabilities.

Communicate with Operations regarding both market opportunities in which we should become focused and challenges we face within the market. Articulate each in a timely, professional manner.

Within the first 30 days, prepare and present a sales plan to Regional Sales Manager and SVP that defines the market, identifies opportunities, develops a plan to close new business and states the competitive obstacles and market challenges ACS may encounter.df-tc
