Description
The purpose of the project is to implement a number of HIPAA compliant EDI transactions in all the client's regions. These transactions are focused on exchange of claims information - submittal of claims requests (837), return of claims payments (835), request for and reply on status of claims (276/277). This will entail changes in the regional claims applications as well as KP-EDITS, the client clearinghouse for all EDI transactions. We expect to complete the implementation of EDI claims transactions in all regions where requested by a trading partner so that the client is compliant with CMS mandates by September 16, 2005. The project is currently in Concept phase. There will be 8 workgroups (one for each region). Each workgroup will have between 5 and 10 members.
Responsibilities:
The candidate will be involved in the conception, design and implementation of the common national claims solution development.
Required Skills:
*Candidate should have solution design and implementation experience with HIPAA EDI transactions, more specifically in the claims domain.
*Candidate should possess excellent analytical skills, excellent writing skills and past implementation experience with claims processing systems.
*Knowledge of claims applications currently installed at KP is desirable - OCPS, AOMS and CATS.
*Skills listed in skill section below are required.
