MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field. Work Experience: 3+ years experience in Information Technology field, with progressing roles. Knowledge: statistical and/or research databases; training theory and practices demonstrated by an ability to develop and deliver technical training and user documentation; network administration and data administration principles and techniques; information technology systems and/or applications, including campus wide systems and multimedia environments, access procedures, networks, and/or databases. Web servers, Oracle database and Unix operating systems; developing and implementing Web Applications using PL/SQL, Java and HTML; analysis and debugging, particularly in the interaction between Web servers and browsers complex systems interfaces. Skills: work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines; verbal and written communication skills; organized and detail-oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills. Abilities: integrate multiple applications and/or systems; apply consultative skills to assess user needs and provide appropriate support; analyze data requirements and research data availability and access methods; coordinate and implement data exchanges and conversions; develop and deliver technical training and user documentation. translate user-defined requirements into specifications/features; proven success in delivering high quality, user-friendly Web applications; function as a member of a team; willingness to participate in activities/assignment that will benefit other team members; contribute to the accomplishment of team objectives. Specialized Abilities: demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills in working with users to interpret needs and provide appropriate solutions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Analyze user requirements; prepare Web application specifications; development and maintain user-friendly Web applications using PL/SQL, Java and HTML, test and debug programs; document programs and procedures necessary for the systems developed; develop and maintain Client's Web page; usage statistical reports; server indexes; provide Web/HTML related in-office, email and phone consulting, troubleshooting and training; install, configure and monitor Web applications and servers; research internet software developments.
