Description
Our client located in downtown Denver is looking for the right candidate to join their team. This client has been very successful in the energy industry and is growing. This individual will support platforms running a variety energy industry Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems as well as liaise between Operations field users and Corporate IT staff. This position requires a large amount of travel.Candidate will be responsible for the following:• Level 1, first call support, of SCADA systems and operators in field sites• Point of contact and project team member for IT related work on field systems• Maintenance and administration of IT systems and functions in field environments• Use available tools to diagnose problems or areas of risk to minimize field server and system downtime• Prioritizing issue resolution and identifying solutions to known problemsAdditional responsibilities include the following:• Coordination of change testing and implementation in a production environment• Coordinate internal and external escalation of issues• Participate in various projects as a technical expert and/or as a technical resource• Provide management with scheduled reports on the health, availability and performance of operationally important field systems and servicesdf-tc

Experience/Skills
The candidate must have a thorough technical background with energy industry experience and the ability to function under limited supervision or direction. He/She must meet the following requirements to be considered for the position;Required technical skills and/or experience:• Microsoft Windows Server NT 4.0, 2000 and 2003 experience, preferably an MCP (Server) or greater certification• Background as a server administrator or network engineer in a Microsoft Active Directory (AD) environment• Experience working in small to mid-size network operation centers or multi-site networks• BS in Computer Science or equivalent desired• Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAdditional experience that is desired:• Universal SCADA Server• WondwerWare InTouch, Application Server and related systems• Emerson DeltaV• Dell and IBM server hardware systems
