Description
The candidate for this position should have a very thorough understanding of Intrusion Detection and Prevention methodologies and technologies. This candidate should have a broad understanding of architecting secure networks and be able to provide input on integration between various IDS platforms and other security platforms in a heterogeneous environment.

Familiarity with open source and commercial applications such as
- Snort
- Checkpoint Firewalls
- PIX Firewalls
- Nessus
- Host IPS
- Wireless Security
- Syslog
- Data/Event Correlation

Candidate should also be able to accurately evaluate threats, have the ability to help develop custom event signatures, and respond quickly and rationally to events as they occur.

A strong background in Unix/Linux is necessary along with a strong understanding of Microsoft operating systems. Programming and/or scripting experience will be necessary.

The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in the security discipline, preferably in a management role. The candidate should also have strong written and verbal communication skills and should have the ability to communicate with both highly technical engineers as well as senior level executives.
