Description
The purpose of this position is to manage the information systems related to our clients global supply chain processes specifically in the Original Equipment business segment. The candidate needs to be a strong Information Systems Project Manager/Leader with experience in global supply chain business processes, manufacturing industry, advanced planning and ERP systems. This will include a key role in gathering requirements and working with the project team members to reach consensus on process and technology. The candidate must possess the ability to oversee supply chain and ERP related projects being executed at various global locations and tie them together to extract the maximum benefits from a delivery standpoint as well as to standardize business process and metrics. This will require a deep understanding and knowledge of ERP functions and business process reengineering. The candidate will also be required to lead several projects in the US including ERP, APS, CRM, VMI etc. The candidate must be able to generate statements of work, scope documents, project schedules and budgets. They must also have a strong functional knowledge of business in general (finance, manufacturing and logistics) and supply chain in particular. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: -Gather requirements by studying specific business issues and needs and converting these into IT projects -Coordinate with and communicate to all stakeholders -Work with IT and business in several countries Korea, Poland, Mexico, Brazil, China to provide standard solutions and processes -Oversight of applicable projects including generation of executive dashboards of project health and issues -Provide experience and expertise in creating business process analysis and value stream maps -Work closely with PMO and technical teams to ensure on time project delivery -Serve as the supply chain liaison ensuring proper communications with the supply chain organization as well as keep a finger on their pulse to proactively identify pain areas and provide solutions. Qualifications -Applicants must have at least a 4-year degree in computer science or related field. -Minimum 10 years in Information Technology -Minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment. -Minimum 7 years as an ERP/Supply chain functional expert. -Intricate knowledge of QADs MFG/PRO eb+ ERP system -Familiar with advanced planning systems -Familiar with Microsoft Office and Project 2000/2003 -Experience leading the following types of projects: ERP implementation, supply chain optimization, business process reengineering. -APICS/CPIM certification a big plus -Experience in working in a global firm and coordinating global projects with non-US subsidiaries/affiliates -Experience with managing a project comprising internal and contract resources / outsourced projects. Preferences: -Knowledge of software development and project management methodologies -PMP certification a plus -Knowledge of EDI systems -Large IT department experience (60+ people)
