Description
Irvine Technology has an open position for a Sr. Project Manager. The job description is as follows:

Location is ideally Poway but could accept an Orange County based candidate if they are willing to work in Poway 2-3 days per week

Interviews will be held in Poway

Minimum travel

Project Manager

Direct and monitor activities for all assigned client integration projects from initiation to delivery. Projects may cross platforms, applications, and/or client business lines.

Work with clients and/or business partners to develop cost estimates, requirements, design alternatives, and project schedules.

Provide risk assessment and mitigation strategies for all assigned projects.

Manage requirement acquisition, definition and project scope.

Work with architecture and development teams to define logical project iterations.

Produce, monitor and distribute artifact deliverables relevant to each specific project.

Responsible for overall project coordination, including managing project schedules, assigning tasks, motivating resources, prioritizing work and projects, and problem resolution.

Monitor project status in comparison to cost/time projections.

Adjust project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers.

Provide consistent and comprehensive status reports, project updates, and ongoing cost analysis, significant issue tracking, and communication with project team, business lines, and Program and Engagement management levels on a regular basis.

On an as needed basis establish (sometimes in collaboration with Engagement Manager or Program Manager) and implement project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards, and meet customer expectations.

Will also be responsible for some Program Management responsibilities including, resource time/billing verification, project prioritization and coordination of high level deliverables with the clients and/or business partners.

May lead and direct the work of more junior staff.

This role will be client facing - must have experience dealing with external clients and internal Sr. Business, and Tech Managers

Experience/Skills
.Excellent overall written and verbal communication skills - must be able to effectively communicate project status (both verbally and written), project risk and risk mitigation plans to clients and internal stakeholders.

Understanding of project structure and process

Ability to plan, track and manage the detailed tasks and deliverables within a project

Strong leadership skills

Ability to discuss and negotiate complex tradeoffs with all levels of IT management and clients

Significant hands-on experience in one or more discipline areas within the software lifecycle



PMI PMP preferred. If not PMP, qualifying candidate will be expected to certify immediately.

RUP experience a plus.

Prefer Real Estate industry experience for this role.

Client facing experience is a must
