Description
Summary
Provides non-technical support and technical support on all the department's security programs and processes. This includes, but is not limited to, leading projects, sharing knowledge with colleagues, managing relationships with other areas, processing computer access forms, password resets, security model updates, logonid terminations, monitoring and reviewing access violation and security maintenance reports, and other duties as assigned. Analyzes business and/or technical requirements to formulate a project plan according to satisfy business and/or technical requirements. Performs risk assessment and scenarios to mitigate risk while still meeting required timelines

Responsibilities
Works independently as highest-level business/technical expert, providing both internal and external consulting services. Plans, conducts and directs research and/or development work on more complex projects necessitating the origination and application of new and unique approaches. May act in a liaison capacity with other departments, divisions and organizations. Is expected to make recommendations, which have significant impact on the technical aspects of projects and programs. Generally works with considerable latitude for unreviewed action or decision. Assists with the development, implementation, monitoring and maintenance and compliance of all information security standards, policies, and procedures. Provides consultative services to department management and IT project teams to help raise awareness of Information Security issues and concerns affecting the corporation. As necessary, assist in the development or selection of cost effective solutions. Participates in the system/application development life cycle to ensure Information Security processes and concepts are incorporated into all applicable systems and software. Administers and ensures maintenance of all Information Security computer systems and hardware platforms. Manages relationships between Information Security and our internal TSYS and external customers. Acts as a mentor to less experienced colleagues. Non-supervisory role, very high level of accountability/responsibility.


Education/Experience
Four year college degree and 8 or more years professional experience or 10 or more years professional experience is required. Requires a strong technical background in various information security and related products and concepts including, but not limited to, mainframe products like ACF2, PC-based Windows applications, LAN/WAN operating systems (NT and NOVELL), Internet/Intranet (firewalls, WEB sites, and browsers), virus controls, AS/400, and Tandem. Professional certification(s) preferred. Extensive customer relation experience and customer Help Desk experience preferred. Highly motivated self-starter and the ability to work in a cooperative manner with other team members and TSYS departments is preferred. Expert level knowledge and experience in a specific security application is preferred. Also, extensive training in project management, Six Sigma, and team leadership is preferred.
