We are currently seeking an information security analyst for a contact with an initial term of 6 months with probable extensions.

Summary

The Information Security Consultant is a senior security expert who safeguards information assets by creating and implementing information security policies, procedures and systems in support of the enterprise-wide Information Security Plan. As a key member of the Information Security Team, the candidate will report to the Technology - Information Security Officer (ISO) and assist in the execution of the Corporate and local Information Security Plans and all aspects of the Information Security program. The candidate will also be responsible for leading or collaborating on key initiatives and programs with business, systems and/or corporate partners. Specific emphasis will be on providing security consulting to technology development projects supporting the Technology business portfolios.

Experience/Skills
. Superior leadership ability, technical knowledge, management presence, analytical skills, and project management skills
Implementation techniques and understanding of information risk theory and operational controls preferred
Strong personal communications - writing, presentations, management interaction
Ability to work across various business lines and collaborate or lead projects as needed
Personal drive - this position requires the candidate to personally drive and influence others in order to meet business and architectural goals, even when a position may not be popular
Knowledge of the system development and lifecycle methodologies required.
In-depth knowledge of multiple technical environments in which products and services operate to include operational concerns, systems and applications preferred
Platforms include mainframe, distributed and desktop
Experience in System/Application design and development
6+ years experience with Information Security principles strongly preferred
Technical certifications preferred - (e.g. CISA, CISSP)
Experience in information security networking, policy development, architecture
Experience in enterprise vulnerability assessments desirable
Expertise in risk assessments, security policy development, cyber-security, regulatory GAP analysis desirable
