Description
Pointe Technology Group is currently searching for an Inventory Control Specialist to work on site with our client, Social Security Administration, in Woodlawn, MD. This is a multi-year contract with a competitive annual salary and benefits. All employees subject to criminal/credit background check along with drug screening.

Skill requirements
The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of specific experience in requirements gathering and analysis activities in support of large and complex systems development projects.

The position requires experience in conducting as-is-assessments on IT systems, documenting system behavior and functionality.

Experience with identifying and gathering requirements that are critical to the project-s objectives, conducting interviews with the stakeholders and users, documenting, categorizing, prioritizing and packaging requirements is required.

Experience with developing high level system requirements, translating user needs into detailed functional requirements and conducting system requirements reviews is required.

The position requires working knowledge of relational databases and an understanding of database logical and physical models.

The position requires experience with the analysis and design of IT Inventory Control Systems.
Must be able to navigate in a Windows workstation setting, and have good knowledge of the Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical. Candidate must be able to effectively interact with all levels of customer staff, and be able to flourish in a government contract setting.

Candidate should be able to adapt to a changing environment.

Additional skills

Experience with IT Asset Management & Inventory Control Systems is a plus.

Experience with Oracle & Access databases is a plus.

Experience with Government Contracts is a plus.

Education
An undergraduate degree (BA/BS) from an accredited university in Computer Science, Information Technology or a computer related field, or equivalent work experience.

Technical certifications and/or completion of relevant technical courses a plus.
